We are thrilled to announce construction has commenced to restore the iconic peristyle at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to more closely resemble its original design.
The existing video and scoreboards atop of the peristyle are being removed and two new high definition video boards will be installed in the upper east end of the stadium. The peristyle restoration is scheduled to be completed prior to USC’s first home game vs. Western Michigan on Saturday, September 2.
The renovation of the Coliseum is intended to:
- Ensure that the game-day experience provides all fans options to enjoy the stadium’s new amenities while recognizing the loyalty of our long-time fans
- Provide our football team with a first-class facility and a tremendous home field advantage
- Create long-term revenue streams so that USC Athletics can sustain its excellence across all sports for generations to come
- And, of course, to preserve the historical integrity of the Coliseum
